Graduation Application

It is recommended that students apply for graduation the semester BEFORE they plan to earn a degree or certificate. This allows the graduation office to audit student progress and identify any barriers while there is still time to address them. Students should follow this application schedule:

If graduating:

  • Spring semester - apply by October 31st of the preceding year.
  • Summer semester - apply by February 28th of the same year.
  • Fall semester - apply by April 30th of the same year.

The primary method for applying to graduate is through the My Snow Student Portal. If you have already an active graduate application (check BadgerPath) and would like to apply for a second degree, please fill out the paper Graduation Application form and submit it to the Graduation Office (Room 222 in the GSC or graduation@snow.edu). To apply to graduate through the portal:

  1. Log into the My Snow Student Portal.
  2. Under Quick Links, click “Apply to Graduate.”
  3. “Curriculum Term Selection”: select the semester you declared your major or entered your degree/program. (This is NOT the semester in which you intend to graduate.)
  4. “Curriculum Selection”: select the degree for which you are seeking to graduate.
  5. “Graduation Date Selection”: select the date (end of semester) for which you intend your degree to be awarded.
  6. “Diploma Name Selection”: select or enter the name exactly how you wish for it to be printed on your diploma.
  7. “Diploma Mailing Address Selection”: select or enter the address to which you want the diploma to be mailed. Diplomas aren't sent until 6-8 weeks after a semester ends, so this should be a permanent address or where you will receive mail at that time. (Be sure to include an PO Box or Apartment # if applicable.) Diplomas sent to international addresses are processed by the Center for Global Engagement. You can change this diploma mailing address at any time by contacting the Graduation Office.
  8. “Graduation Application Summary”: review your application, then press “Submit Request.”

There is no charge for applying for a degree, however Snow College does not automatically award Associate-Level and higher degrees without a student application. Certificates can be awarded without an application, but applications are preferred. Students will need to submit separate graduation applications for multiple degrees.
