All-Gender Housing

What is All-Gender Housing?

All-Gender Housing (AGH) is an excellent Themed Community option for you if you're looking for something other than the traditional co-ed housing experience. Students applying for AGH are able to select a spot in specific units regardless of gender. AGH units are a home for students of all majors, interests, and genders.

Who can participate in All-Gender Housing?

This option is available for new or continuing students. Students who believe that this housing option will best support their personal needs as they further their education in the Snow College community may contact the Office of Residence Life to discuss what options are available.

What if parents/legal guardians do not want their student to live in a All-Gender housing room/suite/apartment?

We encourage all students to maintain an open dialog with their families regarding housing decisions, however all students (once admitted to Snow College) are legally able to make decisions about their housing agreements without parental consent due to FERPA law. All student information is confidential except to the student, necessary College personnel, and those whom with the student has completed a FERPA Release form with the Registrar's Office.

Can people who are romantically involved live together?

All-Gender Housing is not intended for romantic couples. As a general rule, we strongly advise against this practice. We respect and honor the privacy of our students, while realizing that there is no true way to determine if this is the intent when applying. However, please note that the Office of Housing and Residence Life strongly encourages students to reconsider living with a person with whom they are romantically involved. Some relationships are ready for this step while others are not, and there can be serious challenges for both students should the relationship end while being roommates.

How do I apply?
  1. Fill out and submit the AGH Form
