Most everyone is eligible!

Aid from the Financial Aid programs is awarded on the basis of financial need (except for the Stafford Unsubsized and the PLUS loans.) Besides financial need, students must:

  • have a high school diploma or its recognized equivalent
  • be enrolled as a regular student working towards a degree or certificate in an eligible program
  • be a U.S. citizen or eligible resident alien
  • have a valid Social Security Number
  • make satisfactory academic progress
  • register with Selective Service , if required
