Nursing Assistant (NA)

If you have commitment, drive, and a passion for helping others, a career as a Nursing Assistant (NA) may be for you. NA’s are essential members of every health care team, providing basic, yet critically important care to patients. The NA program at Snow College introduces students to the healthcare field and patient care. Upon successful completion of the program, students will be prepared to take the Utah Nursing Assistant State Exams.

Program Requirements

1. Apply to Snow College

Complete your application to Snow College before registering for the course.

2. Register for the Course

This course does not offer online registration. To enroll, contact a Health Professions advisor:

  • Ephraim: 435-283-7332
  • Richfield: 435-893-2211

Registration priority is given to adult students and high school seniors.

High School Student Requirements
  • Must be at least 16 years old and a junior by the first day of class
  • Must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher

3. Submit Health Requirements

  • Provide proof of a negative TB test. Students with a positive TB test must submit a chest X-ray.
  • Provide COVID vaccination documentation. Unvaccinated students may request a waiver from the instructor during the first week of class.

4. Complete a Background Check


Time Commitment

  • 90 hours of classroom and lab instruction
  • 24 hours of clinical experience (completed outside scheduled class time)

Transportation

Students are responsible for their own transportation to and from clinical sites.
